2D DIGE is accurate and highly reproducible. The following example used the same protein extract labeled separately with Cy3 and Cy5, and labeled extracts were resolved using 2D DIGE to demonstrate in-gel reproducibility. All protein spots matched exactly in the overlaid picture. This ensures easily locating the differentially expressed protein species.
